Good Morning,
Portland.
Bom Dia Cafe is a locally owned cafe on India Street in Portland, Maine. We serve specialty acai bowls, freshly blended smoothies, espresso drinks, coffee, and breakfast and lunch favorites every day from 7am to 3pm.
The name means "good morning" in Portuguese, and that's exactly what we're going for: a warm, bright, welcoming place to start your day, refuel at lunch, or grab something good on the go.

Where We Started
Bom Dia grew out of Freshies Acai Food Truck, which the Fletch launched in North Conway, New Hampshire. The food truck built a following around clean, fresh acai bowls — and when the opportunity came to open a brick-and-mortar cafe in Portland, it felt like the right next chapter.
We opened at 47 India Street because this neighborhood fits: active, local, artistic, close to the water. We're near the East End and the Old Port, and we like being a neighborhood spot as much as a destination.
What we’re Known For
Acai Bowls
Our signature bowls start with a blend of pure acai, strawberry, blueberry, and banana, then are topped with Grandy Organics granola — organic, nut-free, and gluten-free, made at a solar-powered bakery in Hiram, Maine. You can choose one of our specialty bowls or build your own from scratch.
Smoothies
We make every smoothie fresh, with real fruit, real produce, and a lineup of house-made add-ins. You can add plant-based protein to any smoothie, mix in bowl toppings, or go off-menu with a creative request.
Coffee & Espresso
We run a full espresso program using beans from Frontside Coffee Roasters in North Conway, NH — specialty roasters working with beans from Costa Rica, Ethiopia, Peru, and more. Our cold brew is a single-origin Colombian. Pour over is available daily. Our matcha comes from Kagoshima, Japan. Our chai concentrate is made in-house. Every syrup — including our popular horchata — is house made here. The menu also includes a flat white, London fog, and cold foam for when the situation calls for it.
Breakfast & Lunch
Our toasts are made on Night Moves sourdough and built for real daytime eating. From a Caprese to The Avo to a loaded Lox, we take healthy lunch as seriously as we take breakfast.
Prioritizing healthy options is always important to us. Our pickled red onions are made in house, our kimchi is locally sourced, and our Sourdough is from James Beard Nominated Night Moves Bakery.
Our rotation of local pastries come from Little Spruce Bakery Co., Belleville, and Seconds Baking.
How WE show Up
We're not trying to be everything. We're a boutique espresso bar that is proud to make some of the east coast’s best acai bowls. We care about ingredients, sourcing, and the people we work with — and we try to make every visit feel easy and good.
The plants and flowers you see in the cafe? Those come from our friends at Lemon & Tulips.
We accept walk-ins all day and offer online ordering for pickup, so you can plan ahead or just show up.
